Local-first

Lime Log keeps your log entries, photos, notes, and documents in app storage on your device. There is no Lime Log account and no Lime Log server holding them, so they are not ours to read or share. They stay on the device until you delete them.

Photos and documents come from your camera or your photo library when you attach them, and they stay in app storage with the rest of your log.

Deleting the app removes that local data from the device. If you back up your phone, the backup may still hold a copy. Device backups are Apple's, under Apple's terms, not ours.

What leaves the device

Lime Log does not intentionally send your log entries, photos, notes, or documents anywhere. A few services see limited information so that purchases and bug fixes work.

• Apple in-app purchases run through the App Store. Apple handles payment and keeps the purchase record tied to your Apple ID.
• A purchase service checks your receipt so a purchase can be restored later. It sees the receipt and basic app and device details. Your log is not part of that.
• When the app fails, a crash report may include the error, the app version, and device and operating system details. We also collect limited performance data with app and device details. Reports can capture technical context from the moment things went wrong. We make our best effort to keep anything you typed out of them, but cannot guarantee that a fragment will never appear. We do not intentionally send your log, and we use these reports only to fix bugs.

If you want the purchase or crash records tied to your install removed, email us and we will delete what we hold. The App Store purchase record is Apple's and stays under Apple's policy.

Children

Lime Log is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes

This describes Lime Log as it ships today. We expect the app to grow, and some of what we would like to build later, such as a backup you can turn on or a way to reach your log from another device you own, would mean data leaving the device in a new way. None of that exists today. If we build it, it will be something you choose to turn on, and this page will say what is sent and to whom before that version ships.

We also update this page when one of the services above changes or the law does. The date at the top changes when we revise it.
